from BBC

(elbcradio.com/August 13, 2015)-A Senior Anglican Church Leader says Christian Leaders in Nigeria hurt efforts to combat Boko Haram threat.

Archbishop Josiah Fearon, a Nigerian national, said Christians failed to dialogue with their Muslim counterparts, because they feared the country was being "Islamized."

Archbishop Fearon told the BBC Christian in Nigeria had believed Muslims Leaders were supporting the militants. Boko Haram is targeting both Muslims and Christians in its bid to impose Islamic law in northern Nigeria.

The group has killed some 10,000 people and kidnapped hundreds of girls and women since its insurgency in 2009.

Last year, Boko Haram seized a huge area of the north-east before being beaten back by a regional coalition, including Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
