(elbcradio.com/August 14, 2015)-The Head of the Lofa County branch of the National Traditional Council of Liberia has praised the Unity Party-led Government for the significant growth achieved thus far.

Old man Forkpa Boakai also praised President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf for her able leadership since her ascendency.

He named the construction of health centers, market buildings, public schools, courts and roads, as significant gains made by the Johnson-Sirleaf-led Government.

The Traditional Leader also named the promotion of freedom of speech and of the press, respect for religious and traditional rights, the Ebola virus disease’s eradication, among others as being additional significant gains made by the Government.

Old man Boakai said the strides made by the Government clearly demonstrate President Johnson-Sirleaf's commitment to what she and others advocated for, noting: “This is something that past governments never demonstrated.”

He made the commendation recently in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) at the Council’s Headquarters in Voinjama, the provincial Capital of Lofa County in northern Liberia.

Meanwhile, Mr. Boakai has pledged the Council's commitment to continue working along with the Liberian Government in promoting reconciliation among the citizenry.

“With reconciliation, peace and unity, Liberia will move forward, he further noted.
