(elbcradio.com/Aug. 17, 2015)-Toyota and John Deere say they will halt work at plants near China's Port of Tianjin, where huge explosions killed more than 100 people last week.

Toyota's production lines will be closed until the end of Wednesday, August 19, 2015, while John Deere has suspended work indefinitely.

Renault said its car deliveries in China may fall in August and September, after the blast burned over 1,400 of its imported cars and left over 2,700 of Volkswagen’s cars damaged.

Meanwhile, evacuation advisories have been issued for the area around the blast site, likely to have housed hundreds of tons of highly toxic chemicals.
