(elbcradio.com/August 18, 2015)-A prominent traditional musician from Bomi County, Ma Klubondo, is appealing to the Liberian Government, International Community and the public for support.

The traditional Gola musician is known for her songs, including “Jealous Woman Is Not Good” and “Send your Children to School.

Ma Klubondo wants President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and the Government help her group build a traditional music studio and a Traditional Culture Center to help promote and preserve the Liberian culture heritage.

She said: “Tradition is the strong pillow of any nation, emphasizing: “Ghanaian, Nigerian and Guinean traditional music are booming, due to adequate support from their respective governments.”

The Gola Traditional Musician is also appealing to the international community and the private sector to include traditional musicians in the fight against the Ebola virus disease and help them with transportation.

Ma Klubondo spoke to ELBC over the week-end at the Ja-Tondo Town, outside of the Liberian Capital, Monrovia.
