Private school teachers to receive Ebola money-Govt

(elbcradio.com/August 23, 2015)-The Liberian Government says it has secured money through the Ebola Trust Fund to pay off private school teachers affected by the virus crisis.

According to a Finance Ministry release, all Private Schools are required to have accurate Personnel Payroll Records for April and May 2014.

The Ministry also said auditors from the Internal Audit Agency will visit schools anytime during the payment period.

The release said several measures are being put in place to save- guide the payment process.

The release quotes the ministry as saying: “Payments will be based on qualification and no teacher will receive double pay.”

“Payments will begin Tuesday, August 25, 2015 throughout the Liberia,” the Finance Ministry release noted.
