(elbcradio.com/Aug. 27, 2015)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has, with immediate effect, sacked two senior Foreign Ministry officials.

The two senior Foreign Ministry officials are Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration, Thomas Kaydor, and Assistant Minister for Legal Affairs, Jeddi Armah.

Deputy Minister Kaydor and Assistant Minister Armah were dismissed Monday, August 24, 2015 by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

According to an Executive Mansion release, President Johnson-Sirleaf dismissed Mr. Kaydor for exhibiting “unbecoming behavior” not expected of a senior government official.

The release quotes the Liberian Leader as having said: “An investigation by the Justice Ministry linked Mr. Kaydor to the misuse of the Japanese Grant Funds.”

As for Assistant Minister Armah, he was relieved of his post for authorizing a passport to a ministry staff outside of policy margin.

At the same time, President Johnson-Sirleaf has instructed Foreign Minister, Augustine Ngafuan, to suspend the Director of Passport, Finda Davies.
The release also quotes the Liberian Leader as saying:

“Mrs. Davies should be suspended for one month on the job without pay for carrying out instruction by issuing a passport in policy violation.”
