PREVIL describes Liberias Ebola fight has significant

(elbcradio.com/August 26, 2015)-The Partnership for Research on Ebola Vaccine in Liberia (PREVIL) has described as significant, progress made by Liberia in the fight against Ebola.

PREVIL's Co-Principal Investigator, Steve Kennedy, says Liberia now has the capacity to handle Ebola cases, if there is a new outbreak.

Dr. Kennedy also said: “Liberia is closer to finding the Ebola vaccine, due to on-going Liberia-U.S Clinical Partnership.”

He named Clinical Research, Infrastructure Enhancement, Capacity Development, and Strengthening of Liberia's Health Care Delivery System as perspectives of the Partnership against Ebola.

Dr. Kennedy made the statement Tuesday, August 25, 2015 when he appeared on live show in Paynesville.  
He said: “Collective effort against Ebola remains cardinal in the prevention of future outbreak.”

“Management Treatment and Preventive Approaches, including Contact Tracing, Community Leadership, Role of the Media and the Incident Management System, will go a long way to prevent major future Ebola outbreak, Dr. Kennedy added.
