Legislature reviews Modernization Plan

 (, 2015)-The National Legislature has begun reviewing its modernization plan adopted by the 52nd Legislature at a one-day retreat in Monrovia.

The plan addresses critical issues in outing the Liberian Legislature on par with other parliamentarian bodies in the world.

The Legislature’s modernization plan speaks of how lawmakers’ functions can impact their constituency and society at large.

According to our legislative reporter said members of the joint Legislative Modernization Committee at the retreat acknowledged the lapses in the discharge of the legislative responsibilities.

It was also observed that the Legislature has failed to print a journal that should reflect the minutes of issues emanating from sessions.

The issues Research and internet facilities in aiding lawmakers to make good laws and professional staffers for lawmakers were all discussed during the retreat.
