(elbcradio.com/Sept. 3, 2015)-Liberia’s first choice goalkeeper’s participation in Lone Star’s home game against Tunisia remains doubtful.

The 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier match is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

According to reports, Nathaniel Sherman was rushed to a hospital in the city after he collided with a glass door on camp.

The Lone Star goalkeeper was on his way out of the building when he collided with the glass door.

The report said Sherman, also a shoot stopper of the Barrack Young Comptroller (BYC), sustained deep cut on his face and as a result he could not partake in the Wednesday’s training.

Lone Star’s Head Coach, James Debah, has only two goalkeepers to select from, if injured Sherman is ruled out.

LPRC Oilers’ experienced goalkeeper, Saylee Swen, and LISCR FC youngster, Tommy Sango, are the two assistant goalkeepers.

Sampson Giddings, tipped for the number-1 position in the Lone Star/Tunisia cracker, will not play in the up-coming game due to injury.

The FC Fassell goalkeeper has been fighting injury for almost two months now.

Coach Debah, at a recent news conference, said the player’s participation in the clash is doubtful.

Giddings picked up the injury in July, during a LFA National League match between FC Fassell and LISCR FC in Monrovia.

In a related development, defender Omega Roberts has reportedly withdrawn from the squad.

Roberts had asked to be left out of Saturday’s match, because of personal issues hindering his coming to feature for the Lone Star against Tunisia.

The defender currently plays in the Asian league.
