(elbcradio.com/Sept., 8, 2015)-The Liberian Senate has assured that the Land Rights Act would be passed during the extraordinary session of the Legislature.

The Senate Committee Chairman on Land, Environment and Natural Resources, Albert Chea, said the August Body is currently reviewing the act to reconcile the “uncertainty” in it.

Senator Chea also said: “The Land rights act is a good instrument that would improve the land sector.”

The Grand Kru County Senator gave the assurance Tuesday, September 8, 2015 when a group of Liberian Women petitioned the Senate to pass the Land Rights ACT.

Presenting the petition, on behalf of the Women, Odell Harris, urged the Senate to do all in its power to pass the bill.
