Gola Forest Natl Park Bill submitted for Senates accord

(elbcradio.com/Sept. 15, 2015)-A bill seeking to establish the Gola Forest National Park has been submitted to the Senate for concurrence.

The Gola Forest National Park Bill was submitted to the Senate by the House of Representatives Thursday, September 10, 2015.

The Gola Forest is expected to help reduce Climate change related issues, including deforestation and greenhouse gas emission, among others.

The Bill has been sent to the Senate committees on Judiciary, Forestry and Agriculture, Lands, Mines and Energy, among others, to report within two weeks.

Meanwhile, the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) has held series of consultations with communities around the Gola forest on the importance of establishing the forest into a National Park
