(elbcradio.com/Oct. 2, 2015)-Government has assured that Liberian pilgrims, who went to the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, are safe.

A Foreign Ministry release says the Liberian pilgrims will return home following the Hajj.

Liberia’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Brahima Kaba, was quoted as saying every Liberian in the Hajj is accounted for.
Hundreds of participating in the religious ritual died during a stampede one week ago.

The incident took place while they were taking part in the stone throwing ceremony in Mina, near Mecca.

Meanwhile, the Liberian Government has joined millions around the world to express condolences to countries whose citizens died in the stampede.
