Agro organization (SURIDO) launches its first rice harvest

(elbcradio.com/October 6, 2015)-The Sustainable Urban and Rural Integrated Development Organization (SURIDO) has launched its first lowland rice harvest in Tubmanburg City, Bomi County.

The four acre rice farm project is intended to make local farmers adopt lowland farming methods.

SURIDO’s Executive Director, Paul Jayblah, said the program is a four-year pilot project targeting forty Communities from the Four Districts in Bomi County.
Mr. Jayblah also said: “Mechanisms have been put in place to mitigate the impact of climate change across the Country.”

For his Part, PLAN Liberia’s Program Manager, Collins Sayon, expressed satisfaction for the smooth implementation of the project.

Mr. Sayon said the initiative will immensely contribute to restoring Bomi County citizens’ livelihood, following the defeat of the Ebo
