Govt breaks grounds for Climate change Resource Center

(elbcradio.com/Oct. 15, 2015)-The Ministry of Agriculture has broken grounds for the construction of a Climate Change Adaption Resource Center in Gbarnga, Bong County.

The Center is expected to provide information to farmers on climate change and how they can adapt to the condition.

Deputy Agriculture Minister for Planning and Development, Charles McClain, described climate change as a very serious matter that is adversely affecting the agriculture sector.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Bong County Superintendent, Selena Mappy, commended the Climate Change imitative and called on students to make maximum use of the facility.

Superintendent Mappy described the construction of the Climate Change Resource Center as a blessing to the county. When constructed, the Center will be equipped with meteorological gadgets to aid weather information.
