Swedish, Egypt present letters of credence to Pres. Sirleaf

 (elbcradio.com/Oct. 20, 2015)-Two newly assigned Ambassadors extra-ordinary and plenipotentiary accredited near Monrovia have presented their letters of credence to President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.

Ambassadors Lena Nordstrom and Alaa Khaira Issa of Sweden and Egypt respectively presented their letters Monday, October 19, 2015 at President Johnson-Sirleaf’s office at the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Monrovia.

The two diplomats affirmed their commitment to strengthening the already cordial bilateral relations between Liberia and their respective countries.

Receiving the letters of credence, on separate occasions, the Liberian Leader praised the governments of Sweden the Egypt for their assistance to Liberia over the years.

She then encouraged the newly accredited Ambassadors near Monrovia to consider prioritizing private sector investment during their stay in Liberia.

The Liberian Chief Executive emphasized that the private sector was the engine of the country’s growth. President Johnson-Sirleaf also emphasized that private sector investment promotion will enhance national growth and development.

\Madam Nordstrom replaces out-gone Swedish Ambassador, Sofia Strand, and Mr. Issa succeeds former Egyptian Ambassador, Sameh Lotfy.
