Sirleaf, Koroma discuss, ahead of India-Africa Summit

(elbcradio.com/Oct. 27, 2015)-Presidents Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf and Ernest Bai Koroma of Liberia and Sierra Leone, respectively have been discussing critical issues of mutual and regional interest.

The two Mano River Union leaders’ discussion comes ahead of the India-Africa Summit.

They met over the week-end at the Roberts International Airport, RIA in Margibi County, where President Koroma made a stop-over on his way to India, ahead of the Summit.

The Sierra Leonean President told reporters at the RIA that his stop-over was an opportunity to share ideas with the Liberian Leader on regional efforts, including post ebola recovery advocacies and initiatives.

Commenting on the summit, the Sierra Leonean Leader said African Leaders are keen on strengthening bilateral ties with India, as they gear up for the India-Africa Summit in New Delhi.

President Koroma described such partnership as being crucial for attracting support to Africa to enable the Continent attract the needed support to fully develop its potential as a continent of the future.

Meanwhile, President Johnson-Sirleaf Monday, October 26 departed Liberia for the India-Africa summit, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from Monday, October 26 to Thursday, October 29
