Ellen visits to reap investment opportunities

(lbsonline/Brussels)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf with delegation has arrived in Brussels to continue business meetings and other states programs.

While in that country President Sirleaf met with the Belgium Senate, the European Union Parliament and the Committee of Ambassadors of the Group of African, Caribbean and Pacific States.

Already business analysts have classified the visits of President Sirleaf as one which will yield investment results for Liberia.

Some possible catches accordingly, is already advanced to benefit Liberia includes housing, uniform factory and the area of the hospitality industry. 

Upon her arrival on Thursday November 8th President Sirleaf was hosted at a schedule breakfast meeting with the heads of the Association of Liberians in Belgium including friends of Liberian in that country.

The Liberian Leader earlier before her departure from France to Brussels, held seminar business meetings with heads of several French companies who expressed interests of doing business in Liberia.

One of such meeting was a luncheon organized by MEDEF, France’s equivalent of a Chamber of Commerce, with representatives of 29 companies in attendance including France’s Minister of Foreign Trade, H.E. Mrs. Nicole Bricq.

various discussions on the last rounds of President Sirleaf’s visit is expected to mainly center on the private sector investment in Liberia among other opportunities indicating the opening of a uniform factory and  boost trade in Liberia.

The part of the business meeting, the media including Jeune Afrique Magazine and France 24 television network held interview with President Sirleaf and members of her delegation.
