Nigerias Nnadozie extols Liberia-Nigeria relations

(elbcradio.com/Dec. 14, 2015)-Nigerian outgoing Ambassador, Chigozie Obi Nnadozie, has expressed satisfaction over Liberia-Nigeria relations.

Ambassador Nnadozie named Nigeria’s swift militaryintervention during the height of the Liberian Civil Conflict as a major achievement in the consolidation of bilateral ties between the two countries.

She said:” Nigeria will continue to sustain thepeace Liberia now enjoys because Nigerians shed blood to bring sanity to the country.”

Ambassador Nnadozie gave the assurance Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the St. Kizito Catholic Church where she had gone to bid farewell to the Nigerian Catholic Community in Paynesville,

The first female Nigerian diplomat said:” It is difficult to say goodbye to the Government and people of Liberia after adopting the country as my second home during my tenure.”

“I am leaving the country with a sense of fulfillment, though I had wished to do more for the mutual benefits of our respective governments,” she noted.

In remarks, the Head of the Nigerian Catholic Community, Justine Ogugua, thanked Ambassador Nnadozie for her invaluable services to the community over the years.

Nigeria was the first ECOWAS country to send a vanguard force to Liberia during the height of its 14-year civil conflict in which thousands of Liberians were killed
