(elbcradio.com/December 21, 2015)-Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has dedicated the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) Village Estate Project in the Brewerville Community, outside Monrovia.

The Brewerville Community is located southwest of the Liberian capital, Monrovia.

Speaking at the dedication Friday, December 18, 2015, President Sirleaf said Government is committed to providing modern housing facilities for Liberians.

She said:” The project is part of Government’s mortgage scheme for low income earners.”

Meanwhile, authorities of the National Housing Authority (NHA) told elbcradio.com that the project was funded by the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP).

NHA Director of Communications, Maxwell Davis, said:” Each structure comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, back and front porches and a living room.”

“Of the 93 housing units, each unit is valued at 20-thousand United States Dollars,” he said.

Mr. Davis said each applicant shall make a down payment of four thousand United States Dollars to facilitate a mortgage process.

The NHA Director of Communications said under the mortgage scheme, an applicant will also pay an eight percent interest for the total cost of each unit for a 10-year period.
