County Meet: Basketball and Volleyball games continue at Sports Commission

( 22, 2015)-The Basketball and Volleyball components of the National County Meet will continue this week at the Sports Commission on Broad Street in Monrovia.

The 15 counties are competing in the two events . This Wednesday, Bong County will take on River Gee County in the first volleyball encounter.

Later, Sinoe and Grand Bassa Counties will hussel each other in the second volleyball action.

During the afternoon on the same day, Eliminated Margibi County will take on Montserrado County in Basketball.

Bong County returns later to challenge River Gee County, while Sinoe and Grand Bassa Counties are poised to closed the day’s activities in the last action of football.

The action continues Thursday with Bomi County fighting Maryland County in Volleyball. In other sports news, Grand Cape Mount County will sort things out with Nimba County in the second encounter.

Grand Kru and Lofa Counties will battle in game three. According to the fixture, the six counties will clash in Basketball at the same venue.

Meanwhile, the football and Basketball finals in the County Meet will start next month in Monrovia.

Eight counties will battle to see who goes to the next stage of the event.

Former Champions, Bong County, and high flying Maryland County will open the preceding on January 3 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).

On Monday, January 4, defending Champions, Grand Bassa County, chases Nimba County at the same venue.
