Pro-Tempore Jallah outlines Legislative agenda, Achievements

(www.elbcradio.com/Jan. 5, 2016)-The Senate Pro-Tempore, Armah Jallah, has underscored the rehabilitation of roads nation-wide as the top agenda of the Liberian Legislature in 2016.

Pro-Tempore Jallah said; “The three branches of government have resolved to work together in mobilizing and allotting the required funds to accelerate the rehabilitation of roads across the country.

He said Government’s Transformation Agenda also targets infrastructure development.”

Pro-Tempore urged his colleagues to exercise a renewed commitment to their respective Legislative responsibilities if they must truly articulate the views and meet the aspirations of the people they represent.

He made the disclosure Tuesday,   January 5, 2016 in an interview with elbcradio.com in Monrovia, highlighting challenges and successes during his first tenure. 

The Pro-Tempore noted: “My first year in office, was challenging but was rewarding, my greatest challenge was how to unify the Senate which I achieved after my election.”

Pro-Tempore Jallah said: “Sustainable peace can be achieved through dialogue and not violence,” he.

He urged Liberians to be civil in seeking redress through legal means and avoid using aggression to resolve conflict.

In 2015, Senator Armah Jallah of Gbarpolu County was elected as Senate Pro-Tempore in a highly contested Senate Pro-Tempore Election which featured three candidates in the race.

He defeated Senators Joseph Nagbe and Oscar Cooper of Sinoe and Margibi Counties, respectively.

Pro-Tempore Jallah succeeded former Grand Bassa County Senator, Gbezongar Findley.
