Amb. Rudolph Von Ballmoos Laid to Rest

(elbcradio.com/Jan. 11, 2016)-A renowned Liberian diplomat, Ambassador Rudolph Van Ballmoss, has been laid to rest.

The burial took place Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the Kaiser Cemetery in Brewerville, a suburb of the Liberian capital,   Monrovia following a befitting state funeral.

The Funeral of Ambassador Von Ballmoos was graced by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, including an array of government officials, Members of the Diplomat Corps, former and present Liberian diplomats.

Others included scores of sympathizers, family members, Members of the Religious and Business Communities, and a host of friends, among others.

Ambassador Von Ballmoos died on December 17, 2015 in London, following a brief Illness.

Prior to his death, he served as Liberia’s Ambassador Extra-Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, the Vatican and Malta, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Government of Liberia has paid homage to Ambassador Von Ballmoss, for his dedicated services to the Government and People of Liberia over the years.

Government’s diplomatic sources sources quoting the Gazette said: “The late Von Ballmoss was as an astute character, a career diplomat, an administrator and a patriot who served with distinction. “ 

“His demise is irreparable and a great loss to Liberia’s Foreign Mission,” the diplomatic sources noted.
The Government’s consolation statement was contained in an official Gazette read Saturday, January 9, 2016 during the Funeral of Ambassador Von Ballmoss at the First United Methodist Church in Monrovia.
