(elbcradio.com/Jan. 20, 2016)-The Swedish Government says it has committed U$1.2million to different activities relating to UNMIL’s draw down.

Swedish Ambassador accredited to Liberia, Lena Nordstrom, says her government remains committed to helping Liberia sustain its hard earned peace.

Ambassador Nordstrom said: “Sweden will continue partnering with the Liberian Government in key areas, including peace, national security and development.”

“The Swedish Government has committed nearly 30 million United States Dollar development aid program for Liberia annually,” she noted.

Ambassador Nordstrom further called on Liberians to ensure that the country sustains the peace by putting into place the relevant factors.

The Swedish diplomat, however, pledged her government’s continued support in enhancing the bilateral ties subsisting between the two countries.

Ambassador Nordstrom made the statement Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in an interview with elbcradio.com in Monrovia
