(elbcradio.com/Jan. 29, 2016)-President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has lauded the Government of Belgium for its exceptional support to Liberia, particularly during the Ebola crisis.

President Sirleaf said: “Belgium hosted a major donor conference for the three worst Ebola-affected countries and galvanized resources to defeat the virus.”

“Unlike other international flights, Brussels Airlines was among a few that never cutoff flights to Liberia, despite the outbreak,” the Liberian Leader noted.

President Sirleaf spoke Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at her Foreign Ministry office in Monrovia, when Belgium’s Ambassador accredited to Liberia, presented his Letter of Credence to her.

The President encouraged Ambassador Hugues Chantry to take advantage of the business sector by attracting more Belgium private sector investment.

Earlier, Ambassador Chantry thanked the Liberian Leader and government, for accepting his Letter of Credence.

The Belgium Ambassador assured his government’s commitment to further enhance bilateral and trade relations between their both countries.
