Prez. Sirleaf delivers State of the Nation Address Monday

(elbcradio.com/Jan. 22, 2016)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is expected to deliver the State of the Nation Address at the Joint Chambers of the National Legislature Monday

The President’s address is consistent with Article 58 of the Liberian Constitution.

Article 58 of the Liberian Constitution provides that the President of the Republic delivers the State of the Nation Address on the Fourth Working Monday of January each year.

A release from the National Legislature says, the occasion is expected to be attended by Government officials, foreign diplomats, heads of Political parties, civil society organizations, as well as students and marketers.

Meanwhile, sources from the Executive Branch are quoted as saying the President’s Annual Message is expected to cover wide range of national issues, including, the economy, the Constitution Review Process, UNMIL’s draw-down plan, government’s post Ebola recovery program, among others.
