Liberia consoles Cameroon, congratulates India

(elbcradio.com/Jan. 28, 2016)-The Government of Liberia says it is saddened over the deaths of at least 25 people in Cameroon as a result of a Suicide Bomb attack.

According to an Executive Mansion release, several others were injured and properties damaged in the attack.

In her Consolation Message to Cameroonian President, Paul Biya, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, expressed condolences to the Government and People of Cameroon, especially the bereaved families for the irreparable losses sustained.

The release quotes President Sirleaf as saying: “I pray for strength, courage and fortitude upon President Biya  and the People of Cameroon as you go through the period of national mourning:”

In another development, the Liberian Leader has congratulated the Government and People of India on the occasion commemorating the 67th Republic Day Anniversary of that Asian nation.

In her Congratulatory Message to Indian President, Pranab Mukherjee, President Sirleaf conveyed warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of India.

Liberia-Cameroon relations on the one hand, have yielded rewarding outcomes over the years, especially within the Framework of the African Union.

In a related development, Liberia-India relations have also accrued tangible dividends as evidenced by the political expediency subsisting between the two countries.
