elbcradio.com/Feb. 26, 2016) - President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf is challenging members of the Cabinet to be effective and efficient in implementing various programs agreed on at the Julay-Juah Cabinet Retreat held in Bomi County.

President Sirleaf wants government officials remain engaged and united at small group meetings as demonstrated during the two-day Cabinet Retreat to ensure then successful implementation of earmarked projects.

The Liberian Leader spoke Friday, February 26, 2016 at the close of the Julay Juah Cabinet Retreat in Bomi County, Southwestern Liberia.

Earlier, the Director General of the Cabinet, Jorden Sulonteh, said projects targeted are divided into phases, with the first phase covering projects mentioned in the President’s Annual Message.

Mr. Sulonteh said: “The Second Phase covers those under the President’s Delivery Unit (PDU), while the Third covers projects outlined by various ministries and agencies at the deliberations.”

In remarks, Finance and Development Planning Minister, Amara Konneh, stressed the need for government to focus on political stability, law and order and basic social service, including education, health, among others.

The retreat is an annual event of the Executive Branch of Government designed to provide a national forum for the Cabinet to strategize and plan appropriate programs for implementation.
