Liberians must work toward national legacies- VP Boakai

(elbcradio.com/Feb. 29, 2016)-Vice President, Joseph Boakai, is admonishing Liberians to work together for the development of the country.

Vice President Boakai called for concerted efforts aimed at assisting Government in the realization of its development goals. He said: “Government is under obligation to meet the aspirations of the people to create national legacies that will engender hope for Liberia.”

Vice President made the statement Saturday, February 27, 2016 during an appreciation program for supporters of the former President of the Cuttington University(CU) now Internal Affairs Minister, Dr. Henrique Tokpah.

The Liberian Vice President noted: “There is a need for government to provide more opportunities for Liberians, particularly in the areas of education, medication, and social services to improve the lives of the people.”

Earlier, Internal Affairs Minister, Henrique Tokpah, praised his supports for their unflinching commitment demonstrated over the years.
Dr. Tokpah urged the citizens of Bong County to remain united and work together for the development of their county.

The program was intended to appreciate the Cuttington University and political groups in Bong County for their support during his tenure at Cuttington and as former Senatorial Candidate in the 2014 Senatorial Election in which Dr. Tokpah was defeated.

The occasion was also graced by scores of Dr. Tokpah’s supporters from other counties, including Lofa, Nimba, Margibi, Grand Bassa, Montserrado, among others.
