In CAF Competition: BYC II gets major boost

(elbcradio.com/Mar. 1, 2016)-Liberia’s representative at this year’s CAF Confederation Cup, Barrack Young Controllers, II (BYC II), has received a major boost in the ongoing competition.

BYC II, Liberia Football Association Knockout Champions,were given huge financial support Monday by the Cellcom GSM Company.

Cellcom GSM, the biggest sponsor of Liberian Football, said it was lending support to the BYC II family as part of its commitment to supporting football in the country.

Though the amount of money provided was not disclosed, it is believed that the amount will help BYC II with their trip to Morocco.

The Club is due to travel to play Kawkab Marrakech in the second round first leg preliminary of the CAFConfederation Cup Competition this weekend.

CellcomLiberia GSM gave seminar support to Liberian Football Champions, Nimba United, in their home and away matches against Union Duala of Cameron.

Cellcom’s Corporate Communications Strategist,Kimmie Weeks, made the Company’s commitment to BYC II recently at the news conference.

Dr. Weeks said: “Cellcom will support the BYC II for the both legs in the CAF Confederation Cup.

In remarks, BYC II Coach, Emmanuel Kaykay, commended the Cellcom GSM Company for the recognition and support to the team.

Mr. Kaykay appealed for more support to the team if it must meet the aspirations of sport fans across the country.
He described the gesture as timely and in the right direction.
