(elbcradio.com/Mar. 10, 2016)-Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) have arrested twenty Burkinabes and Ivorians in Grand Gedeh County.

Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs, David Dahn, told ELBC that the men were arrested in the Tesley Region of the County.

Minister Dahn also disclosed that ten Burkinabes and ten Ivorians were arrested while harvesting their farms on the Liberian side of the border with Ivory Coast.

The Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs said the men have been turned over to the Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization for investigation.

The Liberian Government recently dispatched AFL soldiers to the border, following numerous complaints from citizens of Grand Gedeh County.

The citizens had complained that Burkinabes and Ivorians were harassing them and illegally farming on their land.
