MONROVIA, LIBERIA - An up-date from the Health Ministry says Liberia has not reported any other new Ebola case as of Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

An Executive Mansion release quotes the Health Ministry as saying: “Since the two children of the woman who transposed the latest outbreak from Neighbouring Guinea were recently tested positive, no other new case has been recorded in Liberia.”

“The womanarrived in Liberia from Guinea on March 21 this year and later died from the virus on March 31,” the Ministry also said. The disclosure was made Thursday by Deputy Health Minister, Tolbert Nyensuah, when he recently briefed the Cabinet in Monrovia.

The release further quotes Deputy Minister Nyensuah as informing the Cabinet on the ongoing EVDvaccination with 79 contacts from the recent Ebola outbreak being monitored 100 percent on a daily basis.

He said: “A total of 10 contacts completed 21 days of monitoring on Wednesday, while additional two contacts are expected to complete 21 days of monitoring by April 16.”
