Senate praises former Finance Minister, Amara Konneh

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has praised former Finance and Development Planning Minister, Armah Konneh, for rendering diligent services to his country.

The Senate described Mr. Konneh as a brilliant and professional young man, who worked so tirelessly to help Liberia address some of its economic challenges.

The Senate encouraged him to maintain his outstanding performance as he takes on an International assignment.

The Senate made the commendation Thursday, April 21, 2016 when Mr. Konneh had gone to bid farewell to the National Legislature on Capitol Hill in Monrovia.

In response, the former Finance and Development Planning Minister called on the Legislature to continue working in the interest of the Liberian people.

He made specific reference to the ensuing 2017 Representatives and Presidential Elections, something he also encouraged the lawmakers to be mindful, if they must maintain the peace.

Mr. Konneh said: “I enjoyed working along with the Legislature during my time of service. They will forever be remembered.”

Prior to his visit to the Senate, the outgone Finance and Development Planning Minister made similar speech at the House of Representatives.
