Liberias Under -20 fails to reach Nations Cup Final

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Under-20 National team Sunday bided farewell to the qualifying round of the 2017 African Under-20 Nations Cup.

The Liberian Junior National Team Sunday forced Guinea Under-20 side to a 1-1 draw, but that result was not enough to see Liberia through.

It was signaled that the Liberian side was on the verge of being eliminated, after losing in the first leg 2-0 at the ATS three Sundays ago ATS.

Guinea Under-20 side advanced to the next round of the qualifier with a 3-1 goal aggregate from the two legs.

The Guineans took the league in the 12th minute through Momo Yansane, but LISCR FC striker, Fallah Sheriff, leveled things for Liberia in the 84th minute.

The match took place at the 28 September Stadium in the Guinean Capital, Conakry. The African Under-20 Nations Cup’s final will take place in Zambia.
