Bassa Comm. College honors Gbehzohngar, Zangar

(lbsonline/Buchanan)-The Administration of the Grand Bassa Community College has honored Senator Gbehzohngar Findley and the College’s  President, Dr. Levi Zangar.

The college honored the two personalities who are sons of the County for ably representing the college in the United States where they raised funds and established capacity-building and partnerships for the institution.

Senator Gbehzohngar Findley who is Pro-Temp of the House of Senate, speaking at the honoring ceremony said: “the first phase of construction works for a US$2.4million dollars new campus of the Grand Bassa College will be completed next year February”.

He pointed out that the US$ 700,000 allotted to the college in this year’s national budget is insufficient to run the institution.

The Senator said before the expiration of his tenure, as senator he will ensure the college’s budget reaches US$4million dollars.

Meanwhile, Senator Findley has offered to pay the West African Examination (WAEC) fees for all ninth and twelfth grade students in Grand Bassa County.

About three other students were awarded scholarships to pursue college education at the Grand Bassa Community College and the University of Liberia.

There are 120 other students benefiting from Senator Findley’s scholarship scheme in several universities in the country.
