(lbsonline/Liberia)-The Liberian Marketing Association (LMA) has elected a new corps of officers to run the affairs of association for a four year term.

Madam Lusu Sloan, defeated her challenger Julia Bracewell with 412 to 37 votes.

According to the convention Chairman Jerry Geddeh, other officers elect at the Convention include Daniel Benson, Vice President, Clayplah Nagbe, Secretary General, Larwou Larmouth Assistant Secretary General, and Bendu Kamara, Chaplain.

More than 600 delegates representing the 15-sub-political division of Liberia participated in the process.

Mr. Geddeh has disclosed that induction of the elected officers is expected to take place in Monrovia shortly.

Days before the election, some aggrieved LMA marketers led by Madam Annie Yeaney filed a complaint at the Civil Law Court at the Temple of Justice for an injunction to be placed on the electoral process.

The court placed a temporary injunction order on the process, but was lifted the same day. The four day convention was held under the theme: “LMA Transformation for Peace”.
