MONROVIA, LIBERIA -President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has reinstated suspended Bong County Superintendent, Selina Polson Mappy with immediate effect.

According to an Executive Mansion release, issued  Monday, 9, 2016 May Madam Mappy was suspended in December 2015 by President Sirleaf on allegation of the misapplication of funds meant for the Feasibility Study for Gbarnga Streets.

The release quotes President Sirleaf as saying her decision to reinstate Superintendent Mappy was based on the findings of an investigation report from the Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC).

In a letter to President Sirleaf, LACC Executive Chairman, James Verdier, advised that investigation into the allegation established no conduct of criminal culpability against Madam Mappy and therefore vindicated her and the investigation into the matter closed.

President Sirleaf said: “On the basis of the LACC report, you are hereby reinstated to the position of Superintendent of Bong County. “

“I hereby urge you to take into account the sentiments of the population, existing laws and policies as you consider your future endeavors,” President Sirleaf told Superintendent Mappy.
