Ghanaians vote for new leaders

(lbsonline/Liberia)-Long queues of voters are being formed all over Ghana for the presidential and parliamentary elections ongoing in Ghana.

Two of Ghana’s top personalities, Nana Akufo-Addo, 68 of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the incumbent President, John Mahama, 54 of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are in the race for the presidency.

Mr. Mahama the former Vice President turned President of Ghana to complete the constitutional term of Prof. John Atta Mills following his sudden death in July while in office.

The more than 28million population of Ghana will decide at the pools who become their next president and Members of Parliament.

Ghanaians are for the first time using biometric voter identification card system.
