Gbarnga Highway motor accident kills nine

MONROVIA, LIBERIA- At least nine people have died in a fatal motor accident on the Monrovia-Gbarnga Highway.

According to our Correspondent, a cargo truck with License Plate marked- C50511, was heading for Monrovia from Tappita, Nimba  County, conveying several passengers and goods.

 Our correspondent is quoted as saying:  “The accident occurred around Gbarkor Hill in Bong County, Central Liberia, during the morning hours.

He said a four-year old child on board the truck survived the motor accident.

Eyewitnesses told our Correspondent that several others sustained injuries and are currently seeking medical attention at a local hospital in the region.

Meanwhile, no official statement has been released by the Liberia National Police to establish the cause of the accident.. Investigation continues
