Mount Coffee Dam work pleases Gov’t

MONROVIA, LIBERIA:-The Liberian Government has expressed satisfaction over the level of works done on the Mount Coffee Dam project in Harrisburg, Montserrado County.

President Johnson-Sirleaf was speaking in an interview with reporters, following a guided tour of the project facilities recently.

She said with the progress made so far, Liberia can remain hopeful that government will make true its commitment to bringing the hydro alive by December 2016.

Our reporter covering the tour said prior to the visit, the President was briefed by the Implementation Unit (IPU) spearheading the rehabilitation of the Mount Coffee Project.

The PIU said: “About seventy percent of the work has been completed and the first generator will come on line on December 16 this year.”

According to our reporter, the current level of progress was displayed to the Liberian Leader and entourage in a power point presentation.
