Deputy Chief of Staff’s funeral arrangements released

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has released the funeral arrangements of AFL Deputy Chief of Staff, Eric Dennis.

A Foreign Ministry release says the Book of Condolence for Colonel Dennis will be opened Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 9 – 5:00PMat the Armed Forces of Liberia Headquarters at the Barclay Training Center in Monrovia.

The remains of Col. Dennis will be conveyed Thursday, August 25 under appropriate military escort from the St. Moses Funeral Parlors at 4pm to the Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Paynesville for one night wake-keeping beginning at 6pm.

The release also said funeral rites over the remains of Col. Dennis will take place on Friday, August 26 at the Trinity Cathedral on Broad Street, starting at 10am, followed by internment at the Bensonville Cemetery in Montserrado County.

As a mark of last respect to the late Deputy Chief of Staff, the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, has declared a period of National Mourning.

During this period, Liberia’s National Ensign will be flown at half-mask from all public building throughout the country up to Friday, August 26.
