“Dr. McClain, a man of virtue and honesty” –Prez. Sirleaf

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s fallen Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Edward McClain, has been described as a man of exceptional qualities.

President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf says the late Dr. McClain went beyond the call of duty and worked around the clock in the interest of his country.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said she had explicit confidence in Dr. McClain, because he was selfless in the discharge of his duties to ensure that the Government achieves its development agenda.

She said the memory of the fallen Statesman will live forever for his unmatched and astute leadership talents he demonstrated over his many years of public service.

The Liberian Leader spoke Monday at the funeral of Minister McClain at the Providence Baptist Church in Monrovia.

Dr. McClain died July 23 in a South African hospital, following a period of illness. The remains of Dr. McClain will be buried later Monday, August 23, 2016 at the Melton Family cemetery in Upper Caldwell, Montserrado County.
