Africa’s reform fund to boost Liberia’s health sector

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Health Sector is expected to benefit from a 24 billion United States Dollars to enhance reform in Africa for the next three to five years.

The money will be provided by the World Bank and the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria.

The disclosure was made ahead of the just ended two–day Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).

The sixth Tokyo International Conference was held from Saturday, August 27 to Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Kenyan Capital, Nairobi.

Meanwhile, Heads of State of Africa and Partners at the Summit have promised to speed–up progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) across the continent.

The World Bank, African Development Bank, Global Fund, World Health Organization, and the Japanese Government recently launched the Universal Health Coverage in the Kenyan Capital, Nairobi.
