MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The remains of the fallen Liberian Broadcast Journalist, Mamadee Diakite, has been buried.

Journalist Diakite’s burial took place Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Muslim cemetery in Sinkor Old Road, suburb of Monrovia.

The late Diakite’s burial followed funeral rites at the Newport Street Central Mosque, in keeping with Islamic faith.

The funeral was attended by top Muslim Imams, members of the Muslim Community, the Diakite Family, and other well-wishers.

The popular Prime 105.5FM Talk-Show Presenter died Tuesday morning, August 29 at the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Cooper Hospital on 12th Street in Sinkor, another suburb of the Liberian Capital.

According to medical sources, Mr. Diakite met his sudden demise as a result of “Diabetes” worsened by “High Blood Pressure.”

The “Prime Morning Drive” Presenter, Attorney Mamadee Diakite, was widely admired by his many fans for his fluency and captivating topics during his presentations.

Mamadee came to the limelight of Journalism when he co-hosted the former “DC Talk-Show Program” on the former DC 105FM Radio Station then located on Crown Hill in Monrovia.

After the closure of the station, the young Journalist moved to the Renaissance Communications Incorporated (RCI) as Station Manager, while the broadcast entity was at the time operated on Broad Street in Central Monrovia.

At RCI, he distinguished himself as a professional Broadcast Journalist when he hosted the popular “Truth Breakfast Show.”

After five years of service at RCI, Mamadee resigned and later joined Prime 105.5FM as Station Manager, a position he occupied until his unexpected death.

Hundreds of mourners, especially fervent listeners and the Media trooped to Social Media and expressed condolences to their deceased colleagues.
