MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has set a new date for the Tunisia vs. Liberia Nations Cup Qualifier.

The Confederation has set Sunday September 4, 2016 as the new date instead of Saturday September 3 as initially reported.

The game will kick off at 6:30 local time in Tunis. CAF has as well changed the match Commissioner and Referees for the Tunisia Vs Liberia match.

Sunday’s match commissioner will come from Congo and not Nigeria while the referees are all from South Africa. The African football body said the change of date was requested by the Tunisian Football Federation.

The Liberian National Team is already in Morocco preparing for Sunday’s match. Head Coach, James Debah, invited several over-sea players and they have already joined their colleagues in the Moroccan Capital, Rabat.

Foreign-based Liberian players who have already arrived in the North African Country for the game against Tunisia are William Jerboe, Soloman Grimes, Gizzie Dorbor and Teah Dennis.

Other are Anthony Laffor, Sam Johnson, Dikel Glay, Sekou Konneh, Francis Grand Pa Doe, amongst others. The Liberian Coach also carried along with him several local players for the encounter in Tunisia.

In their first encounter in Monrovia,   Liberia defeated Tunisia 1-0 and is on top of Group A. Soccer Pundits say a win for Liberia in Sunday’s game will take Lone Star to its 3rd Nations Cup Final.

The Liberia National Team appeared in the 1996 African Cup of Nations final in South Africa, the tournament’s 2002 edition in Mali, but failed to progress from the group stage to the next rounds of those finals.
