Report to help improve Liberia’s health system…Nyenswah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Deputy Health Minister, Tolbert Nyenswah, says the availability of the Joint Extended Evaluation report to partners will enable Liberia benefit from resources to build its health system.

Minister Nyenswah said the report is important to inform international partners the capacity of Liberia in detecting and responding to diseases of outbreak potential.

He also said a five-day external evaluation meeting of the International Health Regulation is important to help gather more information.

The five-day external evaluation meeting of the International Health Regulation begins next Monday, September 5, 2016 in Monrovia.

The event will be hosted by the Ministry of Health, other line ministries and partners, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

According to Deputy Minister Nyenswah, the up-coming external evaluation meeting of the International Health Regulation will have an immediate impact on Liberia.
