LBS Commissions mini newsroom at MICAT

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Management of the Liberia Broadcasting System has formally commissioned a mini newsroom at the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism (MICAT).

Speaking Wednesday at the program, LBS Director General, Ledgerhood Rennie, said the initiative is aimed at enhancing professional news delivery.

Director-General Rennie said: “The LBS Mini Newsroom project comes out of Management’s desire to provide real time news for the public.”

He said speedy and effective news delivery from Central Monrovia and other parts of the city has been a difficult task for LBS reporters.

“Traffic congestion is one of the major obstacles to effective and speedy news delivery over the past years,” the LBS Director-General emphasized.

Mr. Rennie urged LBS reporters, especially those assigned in Central Monrovia and suburbs, to maximize the utilization   of the facility to ensure effective and efficient productivity.  

The occasion was graced by employees of the Liberia Broadcasting System, MICAT, representatives of other media outlets, among others.
