Journalist Lawrence Randall’s remains buried

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The body of Liberian Journalist, Lawrence Randall, has been laid to rest at the Congo Town Cemetery, suburb of Monrovia.

The deceased was buried Saturday, September 10, 2016 following funeral service at the S. Trowen Nagbe United Methodist Church in Sinkor.

During the funeral service, tributes from the Liberian Government and the private sector, including the Press Union of Liberia (PUL), were paid in remembrance of Journalist Randall’s outstanding contributions to the Media and the country at large.

Prior to his death, Mr. Randall served as Head of Liberia’s African Peer Review Mechanism Secretariat and the Liberia Media Center (LMC), respectively.

He also worked with the Catholic - run Radio Station (Radio Veritas), the Ducor Broadcasting Corporation (DC 101) and as Media Consultant at the Ministry of Finance, Development Planning.

The renowned Liberian Journalist was born in April, 1979 and died in August, 2016 in the United States, following a period of illness.

In recent months, the Liberian Media has been hard-hit by the deaths of two of its members, including Journalists Mamadee Diakite of Prime FM, and Lawrence Randall of the Liberia Media Center.
