South Africa has barred controversial U.S. Pastor, Steven Anderson, from visiting the country, because of his critical remarks about homosexuality.

The Home Affairs Minister said he was denied a visa as the constitution prohibits hate speech.

Mr. Anderson ruins the faithful World Baptist Church, which says homosexuality is an abomination punishable by death.

He said religious freedom no longer existed in South Africa.

South Africa has one of the most liberal constitutions in the world which protects gay rights.

Home Affairs Minister, Malusi Gigaba once served as Minister of Public Enterprises in the South Africa’s Government.

He was first elected to the National Assembly in 1999 as part of the African National Congress, but resigned in 2001.
