Lower House holds Special Session Monday

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives is expected to convene a Special Session of the First Extraordinary Session of the 53rd Legislature tomorrow.

According to a release, the Special Session will begin at twelve noon in the William R. Tolbert, Jr.  Joint Assembly Hall.

The release says members of the Lower House are expected to deliberate on pertinent issues of national importance.

Recently, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf issued a Proclamation extending the 5th Session of the 53rd National Legislature to allow the legislators discuss and act on matters of national significance.

The extension of the 5th Session of the 53rd National Legislature followed the receipt of a Certificate of Extension signed by both the House of Senate and the House of Representatives.
