MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s opposition political parties have adopted a five-count resolution to form rebust collaboration ahead of the 2017 Presidential and Representative Elections.

As part of their resolution, the parties announced the establishment of a technical committee, charged with the responsibility of making critical decisions on behalf of the opposition block.

The parties reached the decision over the week-end at a one-day gathering in Ganta, Nimba County.

According to our Nimba County Correspondent, the collaborating political parties are the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), National Patriotic Party (NPP), and the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE).

Others are the Movement for Democratic Reconstruction (MDR) and Alternative National Congress (ANC).

Our Correspondent also said each of the fifteen opposition political parties has two representatives on the Joint Technical Committee.

However, the resolution did not include any leadership structure for the opposition block.
